If you’re wondering what you can and can’t recycle, you’re in the right place. Our Kansas City electronic recycling list outlines exactly what items are accepted at iRecycleKC. We aim to make electronics recycling simple, safe, and stress-free for residents and businesses across the metro area.
We accept a wide range of devices, from laptops and tablets to microwaves, printers, cables, gaming consoles, and more. Whether you’re clearing out your home, upgrading office equipment, or organizing a school recycling drive, this list gives you a clear view of what’s allowed.
Unlike some recycling centers, we accept both small and large household electronics. You’ll find common items like coffee makers and desktop computers, along with harder-to-dispose-of devices like fax machines and stereo equipment. Items must be clean, unplugged, and free of food or battery acid to be processed safely.
Items we do not accept are projection screen TVs, single-use (alkaline) batteries and CRT TV’s (Cathode Ray Tube). All other electronics can be dropped off during our regular business hours or picked up through one of our scheduled recycling services.
