Before visiting iRecycleKC, please review our 3 step guide to ensure your items are accepted and ready for quick processing. This cover everything from what types of electronics we accept to how to pack your items and when to arrive. Following these simple drop-off guidelines helps us keep things smooth, safe, and environmentally responsible.
We recommend reviewing our list of accepted and restricted items ahead of time, as some electronics (like projection TVs and alkaline batteries) are not eligible for drop-off. By following these drop-off guidelines, you’re helping us keep Kansas City green and making the process fast and efficient for everyone .
Step 1.
Gather your electronics
Pack your accepted items (laptops, Computers, Cords, etc.) and remove any personal data if needed.
Step 2.
Check our guidelines
Review our list of accepted and restricted item to avoid surprises at drop-off. Please be sure to check fee based items as well.
Step 3.
Call 10–15 minutes before arrival to confirm we’re on-site.
We aim to have someone on-site at all times, but there are occasions when we’re out on pickups.
