This Privacy Policy applies to irecyclekc.com and to information you share with iRecycleKC ("we," "us") by email or phone. Data stored on equipment you hand over to us for recycling, buyback or destruction is handled through our separate data destruction process, not this policy.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you fill out a quote request, partner inquiry or other form, or contact us directly, we collect what you choose to provide, such as:
- Your name, company, email address and phone number
- Your pickup city or ZIP code and timeline
- Details about your equipment, plus any photos or files you upload
- Anything else you include in a message
Information collected automatically. Like nearly every website, our hosting provider automatically receives basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. This is used to deliver and secure the website. We also use Google Analytics to measure how visitors use the site, as described below.
How we use your information
- To respond to your request and prepare quotes
- To schedule pickups and provide our services
- To issue certificates, reports and payments
- To communicate with you about your job or partnership
- To keep our website secure and working properly
We don't sell your information
We never sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers who help us operate, such as our website host (Netlify), which stores form submissions, and our email provider. They may use your information only to provide those services to us.
- Authorities, when required by law or to protect our rights, safety or property.
- A successor business, if iRecycleKC is ever sold or merged, in which case this policy would continue to apply to your information.
Cookies and third-party content
We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell or share visitor data for advertising. We use three Google services:
- Google Analytics, which uses cookies to tell us how visitors find and use our website, such as which pages are viewed, how long visits last, how visitors arrived (for example, from a Google search) and their general location (city or region). It does not give us your name, email or phone number. You can opt out using Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Google Fonts, used on every page to display our text. Your browser connects to Google's servers to load it.
- Google Maps, shown on our Get a Quote page. The map is provided by Google and may set its own cookies.
Google's use of that information is covered by Google's Privacy Policy.
How long we keep information
We keep your information for as long as needed to respond to you, provide our services and keep the business and tax records the law requires. When it's no longer needed, we delete it.
How we protect it
Our website uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), and access to form submissions is limited to our team. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you. Just email us or call. We'll respond promptly.
Children
Our website and services are intended for businesses and adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the effective date at the top of this page.
